I have laptop sony VGN-B100GP i lost my dvd driver and now i couldn't use my dvd drive please send the driver for dvd drive to me thanks and best regards
Go to: Start->Run->type COMPMGMT.MSC click Ok->when opens computer management window, click Device Manager->and look if there is explanation mark on DVD/CDROM Drives->if yes then double click it and in new window you will see Device Status.
Post here what you see and if under Device Status you see error code then post it here to.

You may find that the mass storage device driver is bundled within one of the main Intel executables.
you will need to reinstall the drivers for the Sony Vaio once again so that the DVD drive is detected and set.

Check the transport mechanism of the laser head. The transport can get
stuck with dust, hair or vibration. If the transport is stuck, the drive
still appear but can't read the CD because the lens is not moving
properly.
Clean the area around the lens with cotton buds (be
careful not to scratch the lens). Move the lens mechanism away from the
center (use a plastic paper clip, slide gently). Place a DVD/CD disc and
