Try resetting the ipod, this usually works. As follows: How to reset iPod To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: iPod nano (3rd generation) iPod classic iPod (5th generation) iPod nano (2nd generation) iPod nano iPod with color display (iPod photo) iPod (Click Wheel) iPod mini iPod mini (2nd generation) Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center. If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. To reset iPod, iPod (scroll wheel), iPod (touch wheel), and iPod (dock connector) Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step. If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. If you are still unable to reset your iPod, use only one finger from one hand to press the Center (Select) button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Menu button. When you reset iPod all your music and files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost. Date and time is preserved (unless the iPod reset itself because it had no power and then was reconnected to power). Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time the hard drive turned on. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

    Okay, try this
    see the last part

Updating and using your iPod Screen Lock
The screen lock feature allows you to lock your iPod so that others cannot access it. Choose ?Extras? from the iPod's main menu, then scroll down and choose ?Screen Lock?. If this is the first time you're using the screen lock you will first need to set a combination. Select this option by pressing the 'Center' button. Scroll right or left on the click wheel to increase or decrease the numbers then press the 'Center' button again to move to the next field. Once you have updated all the fields with numbers, press the 'Center' button again to leave the screen.

The option ?Turn Screen Lock On? should show up on the screen. Select this option and choose ?Lock? from the next screen. The lock will be displayed whenever you pull up the screen. You will need to enter the code to open it.

Repeat the steps each next time you want to activate the lock. You don?t have to choose a new code each time. If you enter the wrong code, the numbers will flash and you can try again. If you forget your combination, connect your iPod to your computer, and iTunes will unlock it for you.

My son has accidently put the screen lock on my daughters ipod nano & she can't remember the 4 digit code. Help!

1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
2. Open iTunes and sync the iPod as normal.
3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.

Locked ipod cant remember combination

"Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize."

Ipod nano security code

Try this:

  1. Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Nano. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer. Open the iTunes program by using the Dock on a Mac or the Start menu on a PC.
  2. Select your iPod Nano from the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to make a connection between your computer and your iPod Nano.
  3. Click on the "Eject" symbol once the syncing process is complete. Remove your iPod Nano from the USB cable. The iPod's lock code will now be reset and you will be able to access all features again.
  4. Navigate to the "Screen Lock" option in the iPod menu to lock your iPod's screen again. Since your iPod's lock code was just reset, you will be prompted to select a new four-digit code.

Ipod security code

You can unlock your iPod nano in two ways:
â Enter the combination on iPod nano by using the Click Wheel to select the numbers
and pressing the Center button to confirm them. If you enter the wrong
combination, it flashes red. Try again.
â Connect iPod nano to the primary computer you use it with, and iPod nano
automatically unlocks.
Note: If you try these solutions and you still can’t unlock iPod nano, you can restore
iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page 50 for more
information.

Ipod nano security code

Eep... Maybe not the solution you're looking for, but the only one I can think of would be to run a restore through iTunes. If you need help with that, check out the following link:

Good luck! And next round, punch in a code of your own.
