When Any dvd disc is inserted , it will say " please check disc " .
anybody had the same problem with any other dvd players ?
PLease help !!!

Apprenticewell if its anything like av2454; after initialising or replacing the battery in the car or any other power interuptions, the unit requires the original dvd it came with. (In my case it was ver 1.0 disc/. The dvd contains software on it that tells the processor which contry the unit is in and which format of video/navigation it is to use.

WizThis sounds like a dirty laser lens issue. try using a DVD lens cleaner disk if the disk does not work use a manual fiber optic cleaning kit with sponge swabs and fiber optic cleaning solution. These can be obtained from any electronic parts store (not radio shack).
