Look for a "gamma "function" I am not 100% sure about photoshop but most graphics manipulation software has thsi and usually there is a a brightness / contrast function that is also quite often associated with the GAMMA

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Over exposure

I had a problem with overexposed pics as well as horizontal lines. Try initializing you camera ( return to factory settings) by clicking menu and then scroll down until you see "Initialize". If that doesn't work, then do a power reset (This fixed my problem).
1. Remove battery from camera.
2. Hold power button for 60 seconds
3. Replace battery, and try taking pics.
If neither of these resets work, then you should try chatting with a Sony rep. You will your model number ( DSC-H70 ) https://www.docs.sony.com/startchat.asp

Distorted photos with Canon Scanner & ArcSoft Photo Studio

I'm assuming that this is only occurring in ArcSoft PhotoStudio? You may need to install an application that is more up today and compatible with Vista. I don't know if that version of PhotoStudio is compatible. You should check with ArcSoft. There is a patch for the 2000 version of PhotoStudio...but again, I don't know if PhotoStudio 2000 is Vista Compatible.

I am trying to make a photo look like a drawing and my software is arcsoft photostudio 4.0. I cannot find instructions for how to do this anywhere - do i have to buy photoshop in order to accomplish this?

I'm not familiar with Arcsoft. I use Photoshop, but you can buy a copy of "Photoshop Elements" for much less than Photoshop. This is done with a "plug-in". You may be able to do an internet search and find the plug-in for your "Arcsoft" program.
