Question about Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer

When I print with Lexmark All IN One x4270, I get a checkerboard type misalignment, have tried realigning, cleaning jets, starting and restarting, hate to remove and install drivers as this model is really touchy about loading drivers.

You may have to change the communication format called the "Spool format in windows XP ."
Please follow the steps given below to change the spool data format:
1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Printers and Other Hardware" and "Printers and Faxes."
2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click "Properties."
3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.
4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark X4200series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."
5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.
6. Please try printing again.
If this does not help the situation, please describe any differences it does make.

Printer shows job in progress so cannot uninstall


Make sure there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue so you can successfully uninstall the printer from your computer. You can try this approach:

1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)

4. Double click the printer icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar to examine your print job queue and browse to View -> Refresh.



When the print queue is cleared, try to uninstall again.

I have several Lexmark C750 and they all have vertical streaks on the right hand side. I have trying to find some type of wear and tear, so I know which parts to order. I examined the color cartridges,...


You may have to clean the ink jets.. go into the software where it manages the print heads. Run it through clean print heads or jets program several times. Then run the realign program and see if that helps.

I cannot print --lexmark x4270. Replaced both cart color and black. What have I done--will scan but not print. Thanks


Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

Remove the black ink cartridge and examine the print head on it - you will probably find a small piece of tape (very thin) covering the jets - usually blue in color - remove it and reinstall the cartridge.

Error 1068 on vista print spooler stopped


Please follow the below given steps to remove the dependencies.

1.Click start icon.
2.Click on All Programs.
3.Click on Accessories.
4.Click Run.
5.Type cmd and hit enter.

To remove this dependency all you have to do is open the command prompt and type in the following command:

Please type Sc*config*spooler*depend=*rpcss (put spaces where the (*)’s are.

When you hit enter you will get this message:

Sc config spooler depend= rpcss [SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS

Now please restart the computer and try to install the printer.

Spooler not running after Lexmark x83 installation on windows XP laptop


From what you're saying the windows print spooler service is not starting following the installation of your printer (and thereby you cannot print i'm assuming)

try the following to start the print spooler service if it is not already running.
Click Start
Right Click My Computer
Click Manage
Click "Services and Applications"
Click Services
Scroll down to "Print Spooler" and double click on it to open up the properties page
where it says "startup type" select automatic from the combo box list
Apply
If the service is NOT running, start it by clicking "start"
click OK

The print spooler service is started now, and **should** work properly. If the spooler is still not starting properly, then you may have a driver issue and i reccommend uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your printer.

Lexmark X4270 won't install


if possible try a different wire or usb port
check if there is a usb conflict
