Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
I have the sony handycam hi8 560xdigital zoom. when ever i am in player mode (by trying to rewind, FF, play, etc... theplayer beeps for the tape to be ejected and reads and error code that says C:31:22. is it just the tape that may be bad or is it a problem withthe cmera itself. please help, this is the tape my baby was born on.
I have the same error message and found another forum where several people suggested simply taking it apart and putting it together again. dcr-trv350 I've had that problem for a couple years. It's my third short lived sony 8mm. I thought it was just poor quality, If there is a fix I'd love to hear it.
I've been getting the error C:31:42 which according to the manual is
the condensation error. I've done what the manual says, to turn off the
camera, disconnect the battery, then let it air out. That hasn't
worked. Please help me fix this problem. It seems to go away and come
back but this time it's come back to stay. Please help me not spend 300
on the repair.
