Question about Westinghouse LTV-40w1 HDC 40.02 in. LCD HDTV
Purchased last Xmas and thank goodness it was plug&play. Today I finally had HD cable installed (live in small town - just came available). Unfortunately, when I turned it off and back on again, I am met with a black screen saying auto scan required. I read the books but can't figure out how to access the screen I might need to fix this problem. I can't find any way to run the auto scan. Is anyone familiar with this object? I need help! The cable company is difficult and customers are greeted with a voice menu which is downright rude......basically wait until they feel like giving you a service call either online, verbal or in person.
I had the same issue. I just bought this tv. I went to source on the side of the tv pushed the input button til it went to YPbPr1 and the screen came up. My HD cable box is a little old so I'm using that instead of HDMI. But if your using HDMI just keep hitting that button til you see HDMI and it should work.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
