Saeco via venezia coffee machine wont prime

Hello
we have Saeco via venizia coffee machine that requires priming.
Following the printed instructions we have filled the water tank then opening the steam knob (on the side) water is supposed to runout but nothing happens.
What are we doing wrong.. thanks

Hi Tinara. I have tried priming my coffee machine too but still no water will come through, I have taken the back off the machine and spent all day messing around trying to get it to work but to no avail. The pump sounds like it's working but no water is being drawn up the clear tubes and I have checked them for splits and leaks but all sealed so I can't work out what the problem is. Please let me know if you got your coffee machine to work! Thanks.

Turn machine on and make sure that the knob is fully opened, if the pump does not engage(vibrate) then either the machine is not getting power or there is a problem with the pump.

My saeco royal expresso machine is saying ventaliate and does not work what do i do

hello my name is Lee Davidian and am an expert on FixYa and here is the answer..
Having read the other reviews here, I was prepared for the cryptic "VENTILATE" message. (The manual refers to this procedure as "Loading the circuit", which doesn't help to clarify things.) Of course this refers to what Americans would call "priming" the machine. As mentioned in another review, there is a plastic hand pump supplied for priming, but that is only needed in the event that the electric pump fails to self-prime. All I had to do (following the quick-start instructions) was to select the Hot Water function; the internal pump quickly primed itself

Not pumping waer but making hella noise

Hi
Needs to be primed. If you open the steam knob and and you don't get water out, the pump has lost its prime. Check that you hose is in the tank, or has become disconnected inside.

Makeing coffee

No, these machines use a pressurized portafilter to make brewing espresso easier. Be sure your coffee is ground about the fineness of table salt. Just level the coffee in the filter and insert the filter as instructed.
