Logitech x 230 speakers "dead"

My power light doesn't turn on. Speakers do not work. Appears as though fuse has blown. Is there a replaceable fuse? Thank you for any info you can provide.

Razor Your correct, you will have to open it up however which may void a warranty depending on how long you have had it. It is possible the converter went bad, this happens in these. If this is the case Logitech is really good on replacement and price{ if you even have to pay} The link below is a test link you can try and also a Logitech forum with Logy employees that are really good with help and support. Hope this helps.

Try checking to see if the mute button is on.

Hello, My logitech x-230 2.1 speaker system is not producing any sound. The power light comes on but no sound at all comes from any speaker. Also, it is not the computers fault because I have used it with...

If there is an ON/OFF switch at the back of your 2.1 speakers, then switch it on. Or is the VOLUME control set at 0? Turn it up a bit.

Or, are the left & right speakers properly hooked to the subwoofer unit?
Please check.

Logitech x-230 2.1 Speakers: My speakers power on but do not work i guess because of loose wiring do i open the speakers and check the problem??

If the speakers are still under warranty its best not to open them. You will lose your warranty. If the speakers are still under warranty, take them back to where you bought the speakers and ask them to replace the product.

But to make sure the speakers are working, plugg the green audio jack into another source to see if its the speakers or your pc. helps to narrow down the problem to a single source (pc or speakers), turn the volume up and down to test them completly.

If the speakers work with a ipod or a similar device, it could be your computer that is the problem.

Hope this helped :)

Plugged an american computer speaker set into a uk plug and it turned off. will not turn back on. blown fuse or is entire set dead? is it possible to simply change the fuse and replace with voltage...

USA = 110 Volts AC
UK = 220 Volts AC

If there is a fuse, you will find a piece of toast in its place

How did you manage this in the first place, the plugs are dramatically different. You fix this yourself?

You might be better off with a new speaker. If the power got through, it probably smoked your transformer.

Will the power light still come on if the fuse is blown?

To prove if the power light comes on with a blown fuse, just take the fuse out and turn it on.

If the light comes on your fuse could be blown. Replace it with the same rating. Let the guys at Radio Shack help out on that.

Fuse type: Radio shack 270-1062 or Equivalent.

Suspected blown fuse somewhere but no sign of it

Am sure that the internal transformer is gone, You would have powered your speaker with a step up/step down transformer, you need to see a technician around you that can help you out, you need to replace a 220V-230V transformer in the speaker since your country requires that.

Blown Subwoofer

Hi , you will have to open the box and check for any fuses along the power input line, replace them if any and try it out but i strongly believe what happened there is that you fried the power supply in your subwoofer , there is no easy fix to this , you will need to replace the transformer and possibly check to see if the rectification circuit is damaged too, and the amplifier too. Good luck
