Question about Sony ECM-55B Professional Microphone
A cat chewed through the cable on my Soncy ECM55b lav mic.
Is this something I can fix by simply cutting away the damaged portion and "splicing" the good cable back together? OR, are there multiple "channels" in the cable and it's absolutely not something an "amateur lav mic repairman" can fix?
My genuine thanks for your help.
There should be just one center conductor and a shield. It's tricky but, these can be spliced. Some just have two conductors, no shield -- this is easier to splice.
