Hi

Please try and check the power cable if its plugged into the power socket firmly. Also try connecting it with a diffrent wall socket. Sometimes receivers go into 'protect' mode and shut themselves off if the speaker terminals are shorted. It only takes 1 small strand of copper bridging between the black and red posts to cause this to happen. You have to check all the speaker connections behind the receiver and behind each speaker wires at the amp 6-8 ohm is ok for 8 ohm speakers.

If the speakers are also fine then check whether it is overheating, as heat can cause the reciever to turn off. If it is overheating then the amp protection circuit has been activated.Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately. Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and set the volume to maximum. If the AV receiver stays on, set the volume to minimum, disconnect the power cord, and reconnect your speakers and input sources. If the AV receiver turns off when you set the volume to maximum, disconnect the power cord and get it repaired as the power supply circuit is overheating due to faulty components.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Onkyo ht-rc180 standby light blinks will not start.i tryed factory reset, still blinks

The amp protection circuit has been activated. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately. Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and reconnect an input and a pair of speaker wires onto the unit. If the receiver still does not turn on than you will have to bring it in for service. Turn up the volume and if the receiver doesn't shut down, power off the receiver and add another pair of speakers. Power up the unit again and turn up the volume. If it doesn't shut down, power off the unit again. Now connect all your input sources and turn on your receiver. If the unit shuts down again, your unit will need to be further serviced at an authorized Onkyo service center.

I have an Onkyo HT-S6100 home theater not sending picture to TV.

I just fixed mine with the same problem. Apparently, the HT-R667 and 606 receiver that comes with 6100 has a problem with the HDMI board. Onkyo wanted $500 dollars to fix it, costed me $16. Here's how to fix it. http://www.highdefforum.com/high-definition-receivers-recorders-players-tivos/121956-repairing-onkyo-htr667-aka-606-a.html

There seems to be a lot of this type of lack of signal (video, audio or both) with this system. I have the same system and the same problem. Mine is working now. I'm using all HDMI connections. I think the other important thing to do is "delete" all Input Assignments that are not being used. By "delete" I mean set the Input Assignments to "----". Let me know if this helps.

My Onkyo HT-R510 will shut down after several

Might be over heating. Make sure you don't have anything sitting directly on top of it. I even put a little fan blowing outward at the back of my system to keep it cool.

Receiver keeps turning on and off also the standby mode blinks

The receiver is going into "protect" mode. This means that a problem has been detected and the unit shut down to prevent further damage. Without seeing the unit and taking some internal measurements, it is difficult to provide a complete solution. Typically, the output transistors fail which can cause this. There are other possibilities too. I would suggest that you get a detailed repair estimate from a local shop. With that information, we may be able to walk you through the actual repair.

My HT-S6100 had a similar problem with my DVD player and some times with my Cable/DVR box. The signal wasn't getting received at the TV. So, first I changed the input jacks my DVD and Cable box are plugged into on the receiver (e.g. from HDMI 1 & HDMI 3 to HDMI 2 & HDMI 4). Second, I reprogrammed the Input Assignments to match (e.g. HDMI in 2&4). Third, I deleted any Input Assignments that weren't applicable. For instance, I'm only using HDMI connections, but there were Digital and Component Input Assignments programmed in. When I say I deleted them, I actually set them to "----" (just scroll through the options and you'll find this.) Finally, I turn on my video/audio sources (PS3 in your case) and let them load/warm up before I turn on my Onkyo receiver. It seems to be working. Good luck.

Onkyo HT-SR800 won't turn on

If you call Onkyo directly, 201-785-2600, there is a procedure to "reset" the system, something like holding the power button on and holding down another button for a few seconds. Can't remember which, so I can't be sure, but try giving them a call.

If bought new return immediately for replacement. The amp section is no good and cannot be reset - needs repair. but you are under WARRANTY - use it.
