Question about Sony HT-DDW790 System
My surround sound system plays cd's just fine and loud but when you play a dvd the maximum volume is much much lower any suggestions? Also the FM tuner is plenty loud.

lets perform special reset function in your home theater.
1= set to stand-by mode
2= press three buttons of "Stand-by, Function & Volume- " all togather.
3= you will see "Cold Reset" message on front display of set.
4= power up and enjoy ;)

I had the same problem with mine.The solution I found was to use an optical audio cable rather than the red and white RCA audio jacks. Hope this helped.

plug the stereo headphone jack to your dvd headphone output then connect it to your tv audio/video in and press the tv/video switch in your tv remote control.

Problem traced to Samsung's Anynet+ System interacting with LG's Simplink. They seem to be
compatible. Cured by Menu/Option/Simplink/OFF. Hope this helps with anyone else having this problem. trev6.
