It depends on the mother board, the connector where you must plug those cables are in a different position according to model and brand.
I recommend you to download the user guide, or if you want to experiment, just look for where it fits, almost everything in a mother board has only one connector than fit and also it fits in only one position, that means you can not screw it up, just confirm that there is ONLY ONE connector... and again , do it if you are brave and fearless :D

That sounds like the power and reset button wires.
On *********** board usually the bottom corner closest to the front of the pc case their will be pinouts. Sometimes they are labeled as PW, RS etc pw=power, RS=reset, etc.

If they are not labeled try some trial and error untill you can get it to power on.

You might also search the web for the model of your motherboard for a diagram. You will need the specific model because they are never the same from model to model.

Can you provide the details of your Motherboard (manufacturer/model).

Normally, wires from start button should be attached to 2 points on motherboard marked as "Power SW"

Typically, your red/white wire is your H.D.D LED or hard drive light that will hook up to the front panel and allow you to see if your hard drive is "working" or not. It's not needed if you don't have a space for it on your motherboard or if you simply don't want to hook it up.

The blue one is your Reset Switch if you have one of those on your motherboard. Most of the time, this isnt needed either as more and more power switches act as a reset switch in themselves anyway. (Holding it down to actually turn off the power)

If these are you're only two wires, they are no mandatory that you hook these up.

Theres a standard amongst most stereos, so if these colors apply, then you will be right,
Red is Ignition power
orange is direct power
Black is earth
blue is for phone
White is for electric arial
then there will be four coloured wires with matching color trace wires, these are the speaker wires.
