Question about Televison & Video
I have a Phillips Cineos TV and have just bought an xbox. The xbox cables are plugged into the side audio plugs. The picture is on channel EXT3 but the sound is on the ''Side'' channel. How do I match the two so I have sound and visual on the same channel?
Assuming you are using the Red, Green & Blue Component inputs from the X-Box, there will be either a set of Red & White phono (RCA) inputs for EXT3 audio, or a standard 3.5mm jack socket. If so, use these. You will need an adaptor if it is a jack socket.
Dependant on model, the setup menu should have options to assign the audio input to the correct video source.
The side inputs are separate, and are only for the composite or S-video inputs.
NOTE: if you are using the component inputs, you don't connect the yellow composite input.
If this doesn't help, post the exact model number and I will be able to advise you further.
