Question about ViewSonic VA1930WM LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Dual-Monitor Color Difference

I cannot seem to get the 2 colors on these guys to match up exactly. The new one seems to have a "Brighter" white as compared to the original, with more of a "Warmer" tone white. Both are set to 6500K on the monitor's OSD and the Nvidia color settings are exactly the same for both monitors. These are (2) 19" ViewSonic VA1930wm's, however one has the model printed on the bezel of the monitor while the other doesn't. (Maybe like a v.2 type thing?). I bought both brand new, but not at the same time. There was about a 6-month time difference between when I purchased the two. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

Re: Dual-Monitor Color Difference

The solution to this one is simple. Goto to the monitor that does not match and match it through the front panel settings. Also I would check to see if both are set exactly alike in the windows hardware settings.

ladywoman197, 2 things for you to do. 1. disconnect-reconnect vga cable a few times from the DB15 vga port on the pc. If problem (pink hue) persists then try here: Your unit may need some new capacitors installed on the power supply printed circuit board. Read fixya profiles of "budmrtn" "12fixlouie" and also visit youtube for video clips of lcd monitor repair. Do the vga cable thing first!!! Could also be vga graphics card inside pc not making good contact with monitor cable. 12fixlouie

Cant figure out color issue with computer.'s a Dell and even when it's's still a Dell.
Have you tried the monitor on different system to eliminate the tower being the problem? Some have updated and/or rolled back drivers to help cure this problem, which seems to be a common issue with this LCD. Personally i think the contrast ratio is inadequate.
Good luck with your Delllll...

I have a 2002 MAG INNOVISION FLAT SCREEN MODEL 780. I use this monitor as a dual monitor with my lap top. However today I still can view everything but with a pink hue. I have gone to the color controls on...

This could be a problem with the monitor's data cable. Try to check it & find if there is any bent pins on the connector.
If this is not the case, there could be a loose connection on the monitor's PCB, or a failing component. This needs to be checked by a qualified technician.

I have mine on 9300K. The whites seem whiter to me rather than the yellowy tint at lower temps.

Lacie 19" Electron Blue - Black screen with a brilliant white line across

I have 2 of these monitors and have this problem. I was so frustrated turning the monitor off and on until the white line disappeared that one day, I punched the screen. And it worked! So now whenever this happens (about once every other day) I use my palm and smack the lower left corner of the monitor until the white line disappears. I like the color on these screens so I don't want to replace them until I have to. I will NOT buy another Lacie though.

Replaced LCD Screen

There 2 diffrent LVDS connectors normally on the monitor. a plat one with contacts on one side and a female connector that accepts pins on the end. I would make sure the connectors match. If that does not fix it I would change out the logic board. Check for instruction videos and parts for that unit.
