Question about ViewSonic VA1930WM LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Dual-Monitor Color Difference

I cannot seem to get the 2 colors on these guys to match up exactly. The new one seems to have a "Brighter" white as compared to the original, with more of a "Warmer" tone white. Both are set to 6500K on the monitor's OSD and the Nvidia color settings are exactly the same for both monitors. These are (2) 19" ViewSonic VA1930wm's, however one has the model printed on the bezel of the monitor while the other doesn't. (Maybe like a v.2 type thing?). I bought both brand new, but not at the same time. There was about a 6-month time difference between when I purchased the two. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

[Both are set to 6500K on the monitor's OSD and the Nvidia color settings are exactly the same for both monitors.]

Also, color settings on both monitors are exactly the same.

Let mw know if you have any other ideas!

I am already using the same exact driver for both.

It isn't THAT huge of an issue, but it causes me to become fatigued very quickly (I am a music producer/recording engineer)

    Thanks anyways!

The solution to this one is simple. Goto to the monitor that does not match and match it through the front panel settings. Also I would check to see if both are set exactly alike in the windows hardware settings.

There might be another solution to this. You could be right in that it is a v2. Goto the manufactures web site. Look for support for your type of monitor. See if there are two versions out there. What i would do is download the drivers from the monitor that displays correctly to the new monitor. Sometimes a second version also means a completely new set of drivers. With Vista out there alot of hardware is being upgraded with the new 64 bit drivers.Maybe if you change the drivers to be the same as the one that is displaying correctly you will get the same results. Let me know if this works.

I think its not printer or ink problem. Your monitor might be brighter so pics will look more bright on monitor and less on printer. If this is the case with you then:
  • Try to reduce brightness of your monitor, then make bright your picture using software which one you are using, means in this case you are going to save more bright value in the image file. Then print it.

Post your feed back please.

Door Glass

The only solution seems to be ordering a custom glass piece matching the dimension of the glass on the oven door. However, since my oven is white I would like the door to be white too. Although I have found glass guys who can tint the glass door dark, I have not found anyone who can color it white. Let me know if anyone knows such a glass vendor.

Lacie 19" Electron Blue - Black screen with a brilliant white line across

I have 2 of these monitors and have this problem. I was so frustrated turning the monitor off and on until the white line disappeared that one day, I punched the screen. And it worked! So now whenever this happens (about once every other day) I use my palm and smack the lower left corner of the monitor until the white line disappears. I like the color on these screens so I don't want to replace them until I have to. I will NOT buy another Lacie though.

Replaced LCD Screen

There 2 diffrent LVDS connectors normally on the monitor. a plat one with contacts on one side and a female connector that accepts pins on the end. I would make sure the connectors match. If that does not fix it I would change out the logic board. Check for instruction videos and parts for that unit.
