Question about Logitech Webcam
Everything is installed and updated but when I try to start my webcam with another person it doesn't seem to be connecting what-so-ever.
Does anyone know why and how to fix this problem?
I have Windows Live Messenger. My webcam works O.K. but when I conect with somebody else, they can not see my picture. My camera does not open so they can see me.
I checked my configuration and everything seems to be right.
It is anything I can do that I don't know about?
See section C. Windows LiveMessenger in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your familyand friends so they have there computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to besetup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up tobroadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order forthe Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/Bud )
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able tosee and her to you.
C. Windows LiveMessenger:
Go to thissite http://download.live.com/?sku=messengerBud and download Windows Live Messenger.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly soyou can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hopethis helps. Bud

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Had the same problem... Here's how I solved the problem...
But if you do this be careful... I take no responsibility...Just trying to help...
Go to your firewall settings & make sure Port number 443 Tcp & Udp are open... This gives access to secure Websites...
If you do not know how to open ports then get someone to help you
or do some reading in the internet on how to do it...
Fot windows xp just open the firewall & click exceptions then click port..
now just type in whatever name you want to call it then type in 443 as the port number & check tcp & click ok...Now go back again & do the same except this time check Udp.. After opening port 443 if it should by some chance be closed, try to use the webcam with messenger... Even if it does now work I also recommend that you go here & follow those instructions as well... http://messenger-support.spaces.live.com/blog/
Those instructions start off by helping with sign in problems but as you scroll further down the page you will find many other tips and tricks that should help... I hope this will help to solve your webcam issues.
