Question about HP DeskJet 5150 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printing differently than what is on screen

This is a random thing. But, sometimes when i print a document all the text is Times New Roman on the screen, but comes out a mix of mostly arial style font and a mix of Times New Roman. Any way to fix this is? thanks

TRY PRINTING THROUGH MS WORD. OPEN MS WORD - CLICK ON FORMAT - FONTS - IN FONTS PAGE : SELECT TIMES NEW ROMAN UNDER FONT , REGULAR UNDER FONT STYLE , FONT SIZE AS DESIRED. UNCHECK EVERY OPTION OK CHECK WITH A PRINTOUT OR ELSE CLICK ON TIMES NEW ROMAN UNDER FONT AND CLICK ON DEFAULT, THE SYSTEM WOULD ASK YOU IF IT HAS TO BE SET AS DEFULT-SAY YES.

How to Remove Scratches in Stainless Steel

Whether you can remove a scratch has much to do with how deep the scratch goes. Here are several ways to deal with this problem and restore your cookware, stainless steel appliances, countertops or sinks to their former glory.

Consider using a product made for stainless steel such as Scratch-B-Gone or Bar Keepers Friend.

Or, try spraying an all-purpose cleaner (such as Formula 409) on the scratches.

Use a non-metal scouring pad (such as Scotch-Brite pads) to rub the cleaner in, always rubbing in the direction of the grain.

Keep the stainless steel wet with the cleaner as you work, and rinse the pad often.

Rinse the surface and wipe dry.

You may also use a solution such as WD-40 to help fill in the sctraches and coat the stainless steel on the unit(s).

When I cut and paste in microsoft word, the copy has a variety of differences from original, why?

Does this help
The text that you move or copy can have a font or other kind of formatting applied to it, such as bold or italic, that differs from the document where you are pasting the text. For example, you can move or copy text that is bold, 10-point Times New Roman, and paste it next to text that is regular, 11-point Calibri. If you want the pasted text to be in Times New Roman instead of Calibri, you can preserve its look.
  1. Select the text that you want to move or copy, and then press CTRL+X to move the text, or press CTRL+C to copy the text.
  2. Click where you want to paste the text, and then press CTRL+V.
  3. Click Paste Options za010181056.gif, which appears after you paste the text.

When printing, sentences over lap so the document is unreadable. Also it may only print the first line of a document.

Hi,

I've seen word documents do this sometimes and fixing it has worked differently each time.

1) Open the document and press CTRL + A (select all) on the keyboard and then CTRL + C (copy), then start a new document and press CTRL + V (paste). Save the new document as something different and try printing again.

2) Open the document again and select all and copy again, but this time open wordpad (a different program to Microsoft Word) by going to Start > Programs > Accessories > Wordpad, and paste the text into wordpad. This may change some of the formatting. Now, select all again, and copy, and start a new word document and paste.

Copying the text out of word and back in seems to work more often. Sometimes the best program to copy out to is notepad, but you lose pretty much all of the formatting when you copy back into word.

3) If this doesn't work, you could try to update your printer drivers, and if that doesn't work, as a last resort, you can delete the printer and create it again via the Control Panel > Printers.
