Agree with Verden: also make SURE that the printer is assigned
to the TCP/IP port, if not, all is lost!

Make sure the printer is listed as a network printer...add a printer then check the box for network printer. then click browse and click the printer with the name of the printer you are using

Chapter 3 - Configuration
This section will show you how to configure your new D-Link wireless print server using the web-based configuration
Web-based Configuration Utility
The IP address of your print server will be automatically assigned by your router.
To access the print server’s web-based configuration interface:
Windows® XP users:
Double-click on the My Network Places icon on your desktop. Your print server will be displayed as “DPR-1260:
dlinkps-xxxxxx” (where xxxxxx is the last 6 characters of your print server’s MAC address). If you do not see the print
server or have UPnP enabled, please refer to page 13.
Windows® 2000 users:
You will need to write down the MAC address located on the bottom of the print server (E.G. 00-54-23-45-f5-b6). Open
a web browser and enter the following:
XXXXXX = the last six characters of your MAC address.
Note: Some printer software features may not work
while connected to the print server such as ink level display.

This will prove the print server is working. If you can not access the web interface then it may not be getting an address from the router

D-Link DP-300U Print Server Problem:

So... you've messed up the IP address on your DP-300U and now you can't even access the web browser configuration page? Yes, it's happened to the best of us. Although I'm sure there are more elegant solutions, one fix is to reset the server to its factory settings and then reconfigure it from scratch. Given that there is no reset button on the DP-300U, resetting can be frustrating, especially if it's asking you for a password that you never created in the first place! Here's what you can do...

1) Install the psadmin software which came with the print server. If you lost the software, you should be able to find it on the web somewhere.
2) Start the software. It should automatically locate your print server.
3) Click on "factory reset". If it demands a password, and you don't know it, try "SYSxxxx" (where xxxx is the last four digits of the MAC address written on the underside of your server)
4) Dust off your Quick Install Guide and go through the unintuitive configuration process. If you no longer have your Quick Install Guide you can find it on D-Link's website.

Good luck!

DP-301P+ configure problem

Technically, it does not "connect" to the computer it connects to the printer. The computer prints via IP to the device. First thing is find the IP it sits on. Use the disk with PSADMIN utility on it and install to the PC. Use the utility to discover and then configure the print server. DON'T lose your password...there is no firmware reset on this model. Add a Standard Ip port in windows printing and you should be good to go.

Emulex NetQue Pro2 Print Server how do I connect to it

Your DHCP server will keep track of which MAC Addresses have been given what IP addresses. From there, find the IP address of your Print Server. Ping the IP address to confirm IP connectivity between your computer and the print server. You should then be able to upgrade the firmware.
