Whenever I press the minus button, it automatically ads ANS in front of it. making it look like: ANS- I want to make a negative number by pressing the minus button and then the number but then ads another answer in front of it. Please Help.. PS: Also, the change of sign button seems to work as a substitute for the minus key.

Minus and change-sign are two completely different things. Minus is used to subtract one number from another. When you press minus when the input line is empty, your telling the calculator to subtract. The only way it can subtract the number you're about to put in is to subtract it from something else, and that something else is the previous answer, hence the "Ans."

If you want to input a negative number, use the change-sign key. If you want to subtract one number from another number, use the minus key.

Try pressing the plus key when the input line is empty. You'll get Ans+ in this case as well, The same with multiply and divide, among others, and for the same reason.

happened to me be4, except all my buttons didn' t work. I just did what people do in movies. throw it aroun, step on it, bang it against walls, desks , ect. Then my teacher took it away. The banging cleared all my ram. It was weird, but it started working.

I think the circuit board moved, and i hit it back into alignment.

I can't get rid of the zero in front of the minus, add, multiply and devide sign. how do i get rid of it?

Are you entering any number before pressing the minus, add, multiply, or divide key? Those operations require two numbers; if you don't supply the first one then the calculator will supply the previous answer, which was zero.

For example, to add 2 and 3, press 2 + 3 = and you'll see 5. Now to add 4 to that, press + and the calculator will automatically supply the 5. Press 4 = and you'll see 9.

How is this the answer?

Start with the more complicated part. Use parentheses to make sure the correct argument is entered.
1-1.00625^(-360)= the result is stored in ANS memory
Then use 2nd Ans [x:times] 1096.875 = 1227.121463

For the minus sign in front of 360, use the change sign (negate) key marked (-) or (+/-)
