Question about Canon EOS-AE-1 35mm SLR Camera
Hi, I am a college student who just changed my major to Photography and just began taking photography classes this semester. We have just started working with the 35mm camera and I have a Canon AE-1 and I was shooting a role of film and realize that there were some particles and an eyelash somewhere. So, I took the lense off and tried to blow air inside but the particles were on the part that has the circle on it and the brush went across it. Now, I can barely see out of the lense period and I don't have a clue what to do. Did I ruin my camera? Please help me!!! I am a little freaked out! Thank you so much, hdstokes e-mail address is email@example.com
Do not worry. The part that is scratched or has some dirt on it is called fresnel lens ( or the focusing screen ) and scratches to this part will NOT effect quality of your pictures ( i.e. you will not see any of the scratches on your results ) . True it is a hassle to have to look through a dirty viewfinder but just ignore it for now and just take pictures.
