Problems with Ext ins staying on

Hi all, I am stumped. I have the 1507 and when I try to click the receiver on I get no sound. The receiver states it is on VCR EXT IN. I have tried to push buttons to get it off but it stays on EXT In. Any suggestions?

Check your user manual. Many Denon receivers have a reset function that returns every thing to the default factory settings. If you still can't change the input, professional service will be required.

Denon avr 1507.recently replaced with new set of speakers.sound got dropped.keeping full volume only i can able to hear something.

Hello,

Are you using normal impedance speakers? If it worked correctly before, and even better if you can connect the old speakers back to verify the receiver works correctly, would give you a clue.
If the new speakers are a difficult load (below 4 ohms) it may overload the amplifier and it will shutdown to protect itself. You need to provide more info to access correctly.

Removing all speakers and using a headset will also validate the operation of the receiver.

Good luck.

Cannnot hear the music from video

Hi,
you have not stated whether you want to hear the sound on TV or Stereo Receiver..
Here are 2 possible solution for both alternative..
1. thru TV
Your VCR has either 2x Audio (red and whitw ) and 1x Video output (yellow) RCA jacks or a SCART jack on the back side..
you need to connect all 3xRCA jacks to your TV's respective input.(or SCART ) than you will manage to see both video and hear the sound by selecting the VIDEO input on the TV .
2.thru RECEIVER
.
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks of your VCR
** to "AUX input " or "DVD " OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone )
** than just switch to respective mode on
RECEIVER corresponding your RCA connection...
There you go..VCR sound on the
Receiver..
*** pls remember you can connect VCR to either TV or Receiver to listen audio ,not both..the yellow RCA video output connection always goes to TV..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR AMPLIFIER TRANSISTOR

I'VE seen this error many times, if you need an actual transistor changed, you will want to visit the local electronics repair shop. Many computer shops may also be able to repair your problems. I would recommend that bringing in physically to a shop would be your best choice. The Denon AVR-1507 7.1 is far too expensive to simply replace for a bad set of resistors, transistor, or capacitor, ensure that you realize this is something that some be seen in person to repair.

My Denon AVR-1507 keeps automatically turning off every time I turn it on. Then the standby button blinks red. Is there a quick fix to reset the microprocessor?

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Store these instructions in a safe place. After reading, store these instructions along with the warranty card in a safe place. Whenever the power operation button is in the STANDBY state, the unit is still connected to AC line voltage. Please be sure to turn off the power operation button or unplug the cord when you leave home for, say, a vacation. Note that the illustrations in these instructions may differ from the actual unit for explanation purposes. Please click on this link for further reference---

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
