If you are overclocking the GPU with ntune, turn it off. If not, and you are running a PSU ( power supply unit) with lower Watts, should be replaced with higher. The card you are using power consumption is 289 watt. Total recommended PSU is of 680 Watt. Unless you change the Old psu, if havnt changed till, Your system has to crash.

Then, i should say, please check the GPU on any other pc ...GPU s are like a complete pc..and they can have smiler problems like a pc does. They can have defective memories or some other problem. And make sure, there is not a single game, creating this problem. try other games too.

Try a new driver for that card. That gpu has problems with sims 2 games. More ram could be needed, a better cpu and that graphics card isnt great for playing newer games a Nvidia geforce 9600gt is much better.

Try to reinstall the stock driver that came along the card in the box, if that still won't help try installing the newest driver, the next newest driver and so on.

Playing Medieval 2 total war and game crashes

In my experience, game crashes usually occur due to graphic card drivers needing to be updated, they are either old or corrupt. Go to nvidia.com and download the latest drivers. Another thing to check is your device manager for any devices listed that are having trouble or not installed. I can help you more with this part if you tell me what operating system you are using.

The most annoying problem with MSI FX550-TD256 GeForce

Hi ions.

You were right that digital signature doesn't affect the performance.
I am feeling sorry to tell you that your gpu is old and unable to support many new games
and that's the problem you are facing.

Trust me there is no conflict with your gpu's driver's data, if there had been an conflict the gpu would not have worked at all.

Even the driver's of my brand new Nvidia 280 GTX are not digitally signed by microsoft.
Digital signature means that microsoft has checked that this driver is safe.
The driver will get in the list of digitally signed driver if you update your windows.
