Question about Projection Televisions
I recently purchased a Toshiba 40pw13p projection T.V. and am having problems with the crt's (i think thats what you would call them) With top casing and screen off the blue lights up fine, and the other two light up when you first switch on, but the green and red then flicker out. Can anyone give me advice on what is happening, and what I should expect to pay to repair? Please and thanks in advance.

I had the same problem...I took the back panel off the tv and took a small desk fan and mounted it so it would keep the bulb extra cool...IT WORKED! I left it like this for about a week. It shut off only twice after about 4 hours of on time. I then disconected the small white ceramic sensor on the back side of the light. (there is a plug conecting it, just follow the wire to it) It has been about 3 weeks now and I have not had the tv shut off yet. (disclaimer...could start fire from over heating? try at your own risk.) If it works for you buy a new sensor.

NO - - clearly not 140's.... You can upgrade Q751 & Q752 to 150's or 180's which merely have higher amp ratings and thus more reliable.
Also, make really sure that the "seller" you got these from isn't selling you chineese knock offs. They are common in this industry and they may not last ten minutes in your Tv. I suggest some place like ACME out of Florida http://www.acme-sales.net
where you will be assured of getting Sanyo original Ic's and not some chineese look-a-like.
Also, make sure to test the 3.3 ohm return and low ohm feed resistors in the convergence circuit when you replace the amps. You may find one or more resistors in the return changed in value or open so I would suggest buying a package of those also (10 in a pack).

If the lines are slightly curved and stationary on about 2/3 of the screen its either the Blue CRT or the Blue CRT drive board which is having the problem.
