Question about Mitsubishi WS-55805 55" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

All sound, no pic. but it will still tell you if...

The picture went out on our tv the other night, however the sound still comes out. It will show if you are on say, VID-1. My boyfriend turned it on the next night to see if there were any changes. He said that a picture came on, but it was small and only on the top half of the screen, and then fazed out. So, now what? Can it be repaired, and if so, how? Would it be possible to walk me through the repair, or give me a step by step of what needs to be done? I'm not a novice at fixing things, but I'm not exactly a pro either, so I do know when it's time to ask for help. Thanks, CC

No pic but sound :/

You are having a high voltage problem. Quite possibly in the horizontal deflection. I would check the horizontal output and regulator transistors.

Sounds like a high voltage issue and/or a power supply problem.
