Make sure your MP450 is your default printer..go to start menu>control panel>printers...then at MP450 icon, do a right click and choose set printer as default...then try to open up your work again to make sure it is refresh and try to print....see the result...

SOURCE: Can not print at all.

I found a similar error on a Vista 32-bit OS when I tried to print using notepad. There's no dot before dll.


I wouldn't suggest simply deleting the printer from the Control Panel's "Printers and Faxes" folder since that will still leave the printer drivers behind.

Try this instead:

1. Make sure you have the installer CD of the printer, and if not try to download it from the manufacturer's website. Make sure you choose appropriately if you're using Vista or it can cause problems. If you don't do this, Windows won't always download the proper driver for you.

2. Go to Start > Programs (or All Programs) > (Printer Brand) > Uninstall to make sure it's uninstalled, and also check it from the Add/Remove Programs (or Program Features).

3. Restart PC.

4. Use the installer CD, or downloaded installer, to reinstall printer.

5. Test printing from different programs.

If after all of these are done and you still have the same problem (unlikely, but hey, anything can happen), you need to call either the printer or computer technician. Most likely the first.

I tried this process and it printer worked fine.

SOURCE: printer will not print. keeps saying

The cover on the right side will slide to the rear. Take it off. You will see a metal door. Power is off at this time!
Grab the door at the left and pull it open. You'll see a memory DIMM. Pull the little silver clips on either side of the DIMM out. The Dimm should release. Take it out. Power up the printer. If you don't get the error, power off. Reinsert DIMM. Power on. If no error, you've fixed it. If error comes back, you need a new DIMM. You should be able to print with out the memory, only slower.

My canon mx452 keeps sending a message on screen saying printer not responding.I have run a diagnosis and it says no problem.

Make sure you are getting blank printouts when printing from the printers control panel, not just your computer. If it's printing blanks from both of these procedures, the focus would be on the "Printhead". Some Printheads are easy to remove, sits under the inks. Should be a grey latch you release to get access to the printhead. (remove inks first). Soak this printhead in a solution of windex, about a quarter inch deep, for about 20 minutes, wipe clean with isopropol alcohol and reinstall in your printer and do another alignment / cleaning procedure. If this does'nt fix the issue, you might try replacing the Printhead or retiring this printer.

I can't print anything on printer, and when I try, it says the printer is not responding. In Printers and Faxes, it says it is ready.


Sure sounds like you have another printer as the default. Click on start. Then click on control panel. Click on printers and other stuff. See which printer is set as the default. If the Canon Pixma mx340 isn't change it. This should solve your problem.

CANON PIXMA MX310: printer not responding.

If you go to Start, Printers and Faxes, if it says "Offline", right-click the printer and choose "Use Printer Online." If it says Ready, you should be good to go.

If however there is a problem yet, double-click the Printer there and see if any jobs are in the print queue. You can remove them all buy Right-Clicking and choosing "Cancel All Documents" then try printing a test page. Right-click the printer, go to properties and click "Print Test Page."

Printer says out of paper when the tray is loaded

1. Shut the printer down
2. disconnect the power cable and network cable if you have one
3. wait 5 minutes
4. put the cords back in
5. power the printer back up

  • Right click on your printer and you will see there an option that says Use printer.. the option you will click on is "ONLINE".
  • After doing that, make sure that the printer is online already.
  • Try printing.

You have problem with your fuser in printer, as the message says. Having the powercord straight to wallsocket, no extensioncables? Try take it out and reinsert if it's removable. otherwise you have to buy a new fuser.

Printer stopped printing says not responding

Just go to printer icon on tray after print attempt, and clear print queue, it may be confused with unsent jobs. Clearing this should help. Try turning it off and unpugging it, then replugging and on again to reset itself. Failing this, try a compete unistall and reinstall. Cheers lilacgerry

Printer doesn't respond to computer

there were many instances why the computer says "printer is not responding" either it is not configured correctly. for a start..

try this go to start- printer- right click the desired printer- open up properties- then click print test pages-

if it does print then it should work on all platforms, if it doesnt then you might have installed the wrong drivers.
