Question about Televison & Video
We have an Optika 007 DVD player, and have no idea if it is set to a single region code. It is is we would like to change it to be region-less (region 0 I think). However there is almost no information on Optika home electronic products online (at least that I can find) so I can't even find out if the thing is fixed to region 4 or not. I know that the governments trade organization here in Australia (the A.C.C.C.) has a negative view of machines set to a single DVD region code (as a violation of fair trade) so there are no legal problems.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: dvd region codes
Try this (for a LH-T360SE)
Open disk tray and press 0000, a two line menu appears with "Edit Region _" and "Region Code:x" put in required region (presumably 0) and press enter. Region Code:0 appears. power off and enjoy.
region code 0 is No region restrictions.

SOURCE: Changing region on a DVD player
You did not specify what kind of DVD player this is? Since you said player, and not drive, then I will assume this is a dvd player you hook up to your TV, not install in a computer.
Simple answer, you can not change the region code on a DVD player, unless there is a known hack listed on a website.
Therefore, your only option, is get a region free dvd player. They are cheap and easy to get on amazon.
here is one for $30:

SOURCE: LG Blu-Ray BD-370 unlock codes
To set DVD Region to “0”, download file “6000.zip” (often also called “LG6000.zip”) from here:
Save the file and then unzip and extract it to your hard drive.
Now burn the subdirectory RMTM0000 and its contents (not the text file) onto a CD-ROM (ISO format, “closed” CD-ROM).
Insert CD-ROM into the LG BD 370 P player, and when the Region Management System screen is displayed, set the Region Code to “0” using your remote. Once done, press “PAUSE” on you remote to save, and you’re done!
