Fry's sells a 20 dollar sd card reader. You could try that. Are you able to transfer other files? cheers!

I can't figure out how to download video from my JVC GR-D90U Camcorder to my computer through it's usb cable. It is a mini DV camcorder that uses mini video tapes.

From the JVC manual "This camcorder can transfer still images to a PC via USB". There is no mention of video transfer via USB so it seems it is not supported.

Cannot send heavy sound file using Bluetooth device..after 24% the give message that sending failed

Dear user,

This is true, files that are about 500-600 MB and above should not be sent via Bluetooth, you may spend almost an hour waiting for it transfer and it may disconnect at 95%. Please use a USB cable to transfer file to PC and then to other device via USB the fastest and the safest method

Canon ixus 500 not working on win7 64bit.

This model came out before the picture transfer protocol (PTP) was developed for direct interface between digital cameras and Windows/Mac computers. Also, there are no drivers available for anything newer than Windows XP. Your best option is to purchase a USB card reader ($10 or less) that can accept a CF card. You just take the card out our your camera, plug it in to the reader, and Windows 'sees' the card as another drive on your system. You can then view and download the photos.

TRANSFERRING VIDEO FOOTAGE TO COMPUTER

Hello,
you can access via USB only SD card on your camcoder.
The only way to transfer from the tape is via Firewire (IEE 1394) . You should have this port on your PC or laptop, if not you can buy external firewire card .
regards,
Konstantin
