Question about Humminbird Fishfinder 565 With Transom Mount Transducer
You guys will need to take the ounder to a Humminbird service center and have them check the poswer circuit. More times than nor we see blown circuits (usually easily fixable by a competent repair depot) because of no inline fuse or too large a fuse rating. Max should be 3 amps for this model.
Best of luck!

I am having same problem with mine. It won't power on. Was using it while fishing and it went off and stayed off. Can't get it to come on again.

I had the same problem happen twice. Both times happened while sitting in the sun for an hour or so with power applied. I was lucky that the first time it failed it was still under warranty. It lasted over three years then it happened again. I opened it up and replaced a 10 cent component that was used to repair it the first time. ( I noticed the crappy soldering job the repair folks did) and the component looks bulged/damaged. (Viewed under a microscope) replaced the part and now it powers up. I'll try it out on the lake soon.

I had the same issue. The repair shop told me it's most likely the "boost circuit". Unfortunately I can't find this circuit new, to replace the old, blown one. Must send unit itself to the shop and pay the $60-$80 Cdn to have it repaired...so much for DIY !
