Had the mower blades engaged and there must have been a safety switch engaged.

Sears tractor won't start. Engine won't turn over.

Most likely battery is flat, Then dirty connections, then failed ignition switch, then failed starter motor.
So charge or replace battery, check and clean all connections, check switch operation with the ohmeter setting of a multimeter, then replace starter motor, then replace tractor (not seriously).

Countax c600h mower won't start! New battery last week today tho turn key and nothing. Lights all on, brake and seat switches good and even tried taking 12v from battery direct to starter

If you put a new battery in last week and it won't turn over now then you either have a short across the battery or the generator on the tractor has gone bad. A lot of times dead or low batteries will have enough power to turn on the lights but not turn over the motor. Disconnect the battery leads and put an ohm meter across them with the ignition switch turned off. You should see a very very high resistance.

Starter would not disengage even after turning off the ignition an removing the key

there is a problem in the starter solenoid or starter relay if you have one
there is a possibility that the wiring from the ignition switch is incorrect and once activated stays activated

Replaced battery ignition switch an solo pod motor still won't crank.

Looks like the starter gear is frozen it shold not be touching the motor until it starts to spin also take the spark plug out and with the starter off the tractor make sure the motor turns by pushing down on the grass screen/fan and turning I really think you just need a starter gear lowes sales them

My 2008 silverado won't start battery is charged

No, it isn't an ignition issue.

Check power to the starter motor solenoid.
If this is getting power when cranking, then the issue is with the starter motor solenoid or starter motor. Replace.

2000 Corolla won't start.

See, the starter gets power from the battery it also gets power from the ignition switch. When you turn the key the solenoid closes and supplies power to the starter motor. So if you are hearing a click the solenoid is getting getting a signal from the ignition switch. Check for power from the solenoid to the starter motor. If it lights up that means power is being transferred to the motor and the motor is either bad if it doesn't turn the engine or the engine is locked up.

I have a craftsman gt6000 18hp kohler garden tractor. I has been working fine, but last week I noticed a loud single click when i turn on the ignition and a loud single click when i turn off the ignition....

The noise is likely coming from the starter solenoid which is the heavy duty relay that sends battery power to the starter motor. If this is the case clean the wire connections going from the battery, to the solenoid and to the starter and try it again.
