SOURCE: unable to use bluetooth

The device you are trying to connect to is the missing device. Not all devices are connectable via Bluetooth by some misterious reason. Even cell phones from the same carrier don't connect. It is a shame for the Bluetooth technology, that not everyone pledges to open interconectivity.

SOURCE: Hello, acer 5535 Laptop, internal bluetooth problem

your laptop uses a foxconn bluetooth set. Make sure you have the proper driver for this device. Go to Acer support and make sure the driver is up to date. May look something like this:

Fox_brm_2.0 F/W 300

I believe this laptop is still using the bluetooth standard 1.1, so there shouldn't be an issue with finding another bluetooth device. Just make sure that the other devices are in discovery mode or they won't be seen regardless. Discover mode should be able to be accessed through the options tab under bluetooth. Good luck, ParrotHead PC Repair

How do i get bluetooth working on my aspire5535 laptop

Activate the Bluetooth features of your Acer Aspire to unlock your laptop's wireless function. Bluetooth technology allows your computer to control and share data with external devices without having to use a connection cable or download drivers.
In order to establish the connection with other enabled devices, you must first enable the Bluetooth antenna so other devices can locate your computer.

Press the "Bluetooth" button found just above the keyboard.
The LED above the button should illuminate.
Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Add a Device."
Your Acer scans for other Bluetooth devices in the area.
Click the name of the device in the window that appears, and click "Next" to establish a connection with the external device.

How to turn on bluetooth on acer aspire 5535

According to the manual, "Located beside the keyboard are application buttons. These buttons are called easy-launch buttons. They are: WLAN, Internet, email, Bluetooth, Arcade and
Acer Empowering Technology." Pressing the Bluetooth button should toggle Bluetooth on or off, assuming the correct drivers are installed.

Bluetooth

There are six sub models included in the model number you have given and according to the acer website none of the specifications indicate that there is wirelss bluetooth built into the laptop. So it appears that it does not.

Unable to use bluetooth

Not all Acer's have bluetooth inside, even though there is a bluetooth button on most modules. I am on my second Acer, you will have to either use a USB bluetooth or install a module yourself, but be warned its not so easy as it should be!
