Can't save world document in 2010 office

Losing work is great for terrible moods.

There is nothing like spending an hour hammering away at your keyboard making edits to an important document, only to find that you're unable to save it when you're done.

If you're experiencing this issue and Microsoft Word is throwing errors instead of saving your hard work, there is still hope for you.

There's a good chance the file you're working on is read-only.

Saving a new copy will often fix this issue.

If you can't do that, copying the body of a document to another application should do the trick.

Select the "File" tab on the Microsoft Word toolbar. Click "Save As."

Browse to the location you wish to store the file in. Select a format from the "Save as type" drop-down list.

Microsoft Word 2010 will default to the .docx format.

Use "Word 97-2003 Document" to save the file as a .doc file.

Type a name for the file and click "Save."

A new copy of the document will be saved to the location you specified.

Your edits will be included in this new document.

This procedure will get you around read-only permissions.

Use Another Program

Select your Microsoft Work window and press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously.

This will highlight the entire document.

Press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy the whole document to the Windows clipboard.

Launch an alternate text-editing application.

WordPad and Notepad are included with Windows so they make a logical choice.

Applications like Microsoft Works Word Processor or AbiWord should work as well.

Press "Ctrl and "V" simultaneously to paste your document into the second application.

Click "File" and select "Save As." Select a location, a format and a name for the file and click "Save."

Hope this helps

Hi sks846
Create a new folder in the old computer , rename it ( " old computer documents " or whatever you wish ) and copy your selected files to it . Copy the completed folder to your flash drive . Disconnect the flashdrive and connect it to the new computer . Copy the content to the new computer . Copy of your documents are now saved on both the flash drive and the new computer . You are now 100 % safe . If necessary , the originals can be found back on the old computer .
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

Please follow the simple steps to copy the data from your computer.

1. Plug in the flash drive to the USB port available.
2. Wait for a while til the system detects the drive and it will show the detection details on the extreme right side of the task bar.
3. Once the computer has detected the USB/Flash drive you can do a double click on the MY COMPUTER icon on the desktop where it will show you th external drive as a Removable drive. Once confirmed you can close the page.
4. Then you need to go inside My documents by doing a double click on it.
5. Select all the documents by either doing a CTRL+ A or you can select the documents one by one by pressing CTRL and with the mouse just single click on a document.
6. Then after you have higlighted the articles to be moved please do a right click with the help of mouse cursor, where it will give you a option SEND TO and then you will have the option of Removable drive over there.
7. Just select the removable drive and all the data will be copied with in the next few mins.

I'm using a 1gb sandisk sd memory card to sync mp3 song on it. THe mp3 songs go on it fine and play on the computer and on the mp3 player ok. The problem is I have about 533mb of space used and have about...

You may have reached the maximum number of files allowed in the root directory of the file system. If you already have a folder on the card, try moving some of the MP3 files into that folder. If you can copy 1 new MP3 file onto the card, that is your problem. Hopefully your MP3 player supports folders!

What program do i use for moving music from my computer to my mp3 player?

Moving music from your computer to your mp3 is a simple way. You do not require a program to move. All things you should do is to plug your mp3 player to your computer. Once your mp3 player is recognized or detected, you just copy your music from your computer and paste it in the folder of your mp3 player.

After you are done copying close all the open folders in your computer.

Note: Do not remove your mp3 player directly it will cause a file corrupted. You need to safety remove.

I bought a 2gb to store my photos it coplied

Found these two solutions online, that worked for others. Hope it helps:
BEFORE YOU DO EITHER OF THESE: Copy all the data on the microSD card to a reliable media.

==========Solution #1==============
First manually create a folder on the microSD drive. Move files/folders from the root into this folder.
Apparently you can only have a limited number of files in the root directory of this and similar solid state memory devices, including SD cards, USB Flash drives, etc.

==========Solution #2==============
Some suggest that if the drive is formatted with the NTFS file system that you should reformat the drive to the FAT32 file system. I would do this only if Solution #1 does not work or the problem reoccurs.

(1) Open Windows Explorer, right click the drive and select Format from the menu.
(2) In the Format dialog, select the drop down menu in 'File System' and select the FAT32 option.
(3) Click the [Start] button.
(4) Exit the format dialog once complete.
(5) Restore your documents
