Question about Kenmore Refrigerators
I'm taking off the doors to my Kenmore ref/freezer and can't figure out how to take the water line coupler apart without breaking it. It's a plastic thing with inserts on both ends that apparently lock the tubing in place. I've tried prying off the plastic bushings but they seem very fragile and I don't want to break them.
Its a little late, however, this is easy. Your coupler should have two red ends. They don't spread apart. Instead push them together, notice each one moves about 1/16 of an inch. This releases a tension ring holding the lines together. When pressed firmly together the lines slide right out. I know, I tried pulling and instead broke the fitting. I have two Kenmore fridges 5 years apart and they both are the same.
