I have 2 laptops on my wireless home system. One works fine the other tells me 'the web page is unavailable because offline.' When I go to try and activate the wireless connection the network name is there but won't let me activate saying 'The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network. What in the world can I do? Where do I look? The network shown has a strong signal. Frank
If your using Vista: (64bit and cant download the program to clear arp error)
Start > Network > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Network > Highlight your Wireless connection ( Select Remove) > Add > Then go through the process of finding your wireless connection and you magically got back your protected wireless agian.
Hope this solves it.
I'm assuming you have a password on your network. Select the network name and right click. This should give you a list of options, one of them being properties. Click on that and put in the correct security settings. You should then be set up to use that connection.
The other thing to watch out for is using WEP or WPA settings as many older wireless cards or USB cannot work on WPA. If this is the case then you may have to convert back to using WEP or get a new compatible card.
Hope this solves the problem. If so, I would appreciate feedback. Thanks
I've never come accross 'ARP Cache error' but it could be something to do with registry settings

Not sure if above link will fix your problem but you may want to give it a try and it's free. Make sure you back up your files first.
