How do I delete messages on my fb message boxes of a HP Envy laptop

This is a "spyware" & or "malware" & or "adware" infection! Facebook has become the biggest breading place for parasitic infections, the culprit introduces the link or spyware threw a method called "CLICK-JACKING , first thing,, if you don't have a spyware application in your security arsenal? Get one! "IT IS A ABSOLUTE MUST!" it is one of the most important & over looked application to run on any system! I have seen $4000 core i7 8 GbRam crawling like a snail because of just this reason! The one I like & recommend, hand down is "SUPERAntispyware" this is a 100% Freeware program, "link bellow," once you have disinfected then made your way back to Facebook go into you settings in the control panel & tighten up your security! After that you can take back the command of your account! & delete your hart out! the deference between the paid version & the freeware version? The paid version will update then run all by its self!! it's $20 bucks for a year! if you do not have the discipline to update & run a security maintenance program on your device? I would get the $20 mode!l Best wishes!!

I couldn't enter my mail box in recent 2 days. There had been message that my DND server might be unavailable.

here are just a few ideas, it is just your email, & you can get about the world wide web right? If I'm picking up what what your laying down? we will try this, now I can give you a complicated back end of the system directions some how I think it's just going to make things worse! So lets try the "point & shoot " fix first! In the lower description will be a link to "gizmos freeware reviews" it's the go to place for the good stuff! My first recommendation is "CCleaner" make sure your browser is closed when you run this , then "Toolwiz" they are both "point & shoot" 100% freeware & 100% safe! these will fix any registry errors, get rid of any old junk that's clogging your system! or "a laxative apps" is what I have crowned them! One last thing! if you log into "Facebook"? if you don't know what a good spyware application is & how it is one of the most crucial security applications "to run on your system" then I will include that link too!, one of the best spyware apps out there, will make all the deference in the word!! it is called "SUPERAntispyware" Facebook has been over run with parasitic infection called "CLICK JACKING!" so when I here the words "I can not log on to my account" it is the first sign that your system is infected!

Very slow and not responding

Clean up disk errors (Run once a week)

Whenever a program crashes, or you experience some power outage, your computer may create errors on your computer's hard disk. Over time, the errors can slow your computer. Luckily, the Windows operating system includes a Disk Check program to check and clean any errors on your computer and keep it running smoothly.

Remove temporary files (Run once a week)
Your computer can pick up and store temporary files when you're looking at Web pages and even when you're working on files in programs, such as Microsoft Word. Over time, these files will slow your computer's performance. You can use the Windows Disk Cleanup screen to rid your computer of these deadbeat files.

Rearrange your data (Run once a month)
Don't be shocked, but your computer can get sloppy. Your computer often breaks files side by side to increase the speed of access and retrieval. However, as files are updated, your computer saves these updates on the largest space available on the hard drive, often found far away from the other adjacent sectors of the file.

Make Internet Explorer run faster
The Web is a sparkling achievement of modern society. It's everywhere-from the home to the classroom. We use it to communicate, to work, to play-even to waste time when there's nothing else to do.

Automate Microsoft Update (Configure once)
Microsoft works constantly to release updates to Windows and other Microsoft products, including Office. At Microsoft Update, you can find and install all these updates-not just the critical ones. Often, these updates will improve your computer's performance.

Install antivirus and antispyware programs
Computer viruses and spyware (hidden software that gathers information about you without your knowledge or consent when you're using a computer) both reduce system performance. Computer viruses can not only reduce performance, but they can also destroy data. Any computer that accesses the Internet should have antivirus and antispyware programs installed.

Took laptop to best buy and they said to solve the problem with bogus viruses/spyware popping up, I need to get the recovery disks for this model to restore system back to factory status

you could try a good antivirus scanner and malware scanner.
Try microsoft security essentials for AV and Malwarebytes for spyware.
You could try a torrent site like isohunt for recovery discs

Keeps freezing even after a SYSTEMS RESTORE & disc clen-up and my daughters online high school test are freezing up during finals. Thanks so much

Systems can freeze for a lot of reasons. Some of them can be the following:
  1. Virus spyware infection.
  2. Hard drive lack of free space.
  3. System over heating
Possible resolutions:
  1. Run antispyware application like MALWAREBYTES available from
  2. Systems need at least 10% of the hard drive free to function normally. If you have less than that free, then uninstall applications or delete files till you do have 10% free.
  3. Run the system on a flat hard surface. Clean out the intake and exhaust vents with canned compressed air.
If issues continue, then you may have hardware issues and run system diagnostics.

Would suggest booting your system in Safe Mode and running anti-spyware (SpyBot) and anti-malware (Malwarebytes) software. Hope this helps.

How do i know what programs i can take out of this laptop? it is running so slow.

You can see what programs run in your system by pressing ctrl+alt+del keys together. then click task manager which will have the list of all the applications running. If you find a particular application making your computer work slow, then click on that application in the list and then click end task which will close that application.

One solution for your computer running slow could be reformatting your operating system. Your system might have been affected by virus which could be the reason for your system's bad performance.

Hope it helped!

I have issues with my lap top (Dell inspiron) Vista operating system. It takes way to long to booth up. The internet takes forever to come up. The performance shows that most of the memory is being used up

if you have 2Gb+ memory and the issue is same there could be two problems,
1) could be a virus
2) it could be that you are running too many programs in the background

here is a helpfull link

further queries are welcome

Spyware problem in Laptop Satellite M100

I haven't checked the link out but the chance of it not being a malicious site is too small to be worth bothering. DON'T EVER GO TO A SITE THAT POPS UP PROMISING TO HELP YOU OUT. My preferred anti spyware products are Spybot Search & Destroy and LAvasoft's Ad-Aware. If you can download the installation files onto another computer and then install and run them on your computer when it is disconnected from the internet and in safe mode, you are more likely to be successful.
