    Hi,
Weather or not you can use DDR2 memory with your CPU depends on *********** board. You need to specify the name and model number of your board in order to determine if your board is compatible.

    Depends entirely on your motherboard.

What computer do you have? Do you know what motherboard is in it?

I have pc p4 3.06 intel processor and i hav now DDR1 RAM in my pc can i use ddr2 ram by removing ddr1 ram will my motherboard support ddr2 ram

Sorry but you cannot interchange ddr1 for ddr2. They are different kinds of RAM, and your chipset (865GV) can only accept ddr1. If you want to use ddr2, or even ddr3 then upgrade to a newer motherboard.
