Needs the button put back into place. Look under the cabinet to see if there is an access panel below the switch, would go for all external controls. There would be a chassis with all the controls mounted to it. Pull the plug before doing any repairs. Look to see what it would look like in it's normal position. Something has moved out of place that holds the switch to the panel. Very tedious if you have to remove the whole housing.
flyback transformer is deffective (below is its picture) - if you have experience in servicing line ( electronics ) then change this particular component otherwise if you have a friend who is in servicing line ( electronics) then ask him to remove this particular component - take to electronic shop - buy same type ( equivalent will not work ) flyback transformer - below that 8 or 9 pins will be there - check whether they are same as in the old one --- then fix back to the mainboard ---- 2 or 3 knobs will be there on it ----- after switching on tv using suitable screw driver adjust those knobs slowly & carefully until you get clear picture.................. remember while adjusting knobs your hands should not touch any part of the tv .............. 100 % guarantee again your tv works normally - GUARANTEE
Please check if the power cord is connected properly in the wall outlet and in the TV.
Check the wall outlet. Has it got power?
Check if there is red light when the power is switched on at the wall outlet. If there is red light then press the power button. Does the TV turn on? If not then your power button is defective and requires replacement as it is not making contact.
Also please try to start your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. At times it helps.
sony MDL.KV-32FS210 Tv power light flashing, awaiting signal to come on. neither tv or cable remote wont turn on tv, manual button has no effect. I assume relay inop. Ther is no clicking as I normally hear.
there is an auto search method....some remotes you can hold the tv button down and then the select button simultanteously for a few seconds to make the light turn red and then proceed with codes, when you get the right code you press the select button again, the light blinks and you are done..... well with out a code its the luck of the draw..... the auto search method is similar to programming the code in....hold the tv button and the select button for a couple seconds until the tv button lights up, but instead of a code.....press the channel up button(that represents the first autosearch code), continue until the tv turns itself off and then press the select button to lock it into the remote...........if you go past the trigger point you can channel down to backtrack.... otherwise drop it in the toilet until it wont work, call the cable company and have them send out a tech with anew remote. they cant charge you for their equipment not working correctly. trust me, i am a supervisor at a major cable company.
Generally the power button has to be on first to put the TV in standby mode. If you cant do this no remote can ever work. Remotes are not capable of turning on a set that has no power mechanically turned off. and that is what the master switch does. once that standby light is off it is not live and consuming power and not under the control of a remote anymore
Perhaps you can try what I do when my KV24FV300 runs through channels and will not stop. Hard to watch and remote will not work. Nothing works but on and off from set.
Sony Says: Take all batteries out of ALL remotes that you use in any way for that set, VCR, etc. ALL batteries out. Turn TV off at set. Unplug TV. Wait at least 15 minutes then replace all batteries in ALL remotes. Plug TV back in and turn TV on from set.
Maybe, just maybe it will work. If it does not work why not call Sony, they always say that cannot happen but they have a solution for it.
yes they do go bad. try cleaning the inside of the remote and check for a bad solder connection with-in the remote. the key pad can get dirty from your handling maybe a good cleaning but do not scrub it just lightly touch the pad with cue tip and alcohol
