try to change battery if you have extra battery...or if you have a multimeter tester try to test if your battery if it is working....maybe your battery is drained..if the battery was drained already you can't charge it by your ordinary charger i mean your indoor charger that you usually use..if that's the case find a universal charger that you can use..it works sometimes..goodluck

Batteries r not charging What could be the problem and could it be repaired

Hello

First, make sure your batteries are rechargeable. But even rechargeable batteries have a lifespan, try charging it into another charger. If it is charging on another charger, then that means your charger is faulty. If it won't charge on another charger, then the batteries are dead, and you need to buy new set of batteries.

Ifthe rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

A sudden drop from 50% to 7% means that the battery is faulty, it is simply a case where it is not holding any charge. I would suggest you contact the seller and check if the battery is under warranty. Hope this helps and good luck.Any question please feel free to ask.

The camera doesn't open and it doesn't charge. It is dead.

I wonder if you attached the right voltage of charger.
Thats what I did. I put on a 9v dc charger
Now my v570 is dead......but ironically it will still charge a battery.
Now an expensive battery charger!
