Actually first was www.hotmail.com and when they changed their domain from hotmail to live all existing IDs were asked to convert their account or choose new alias for www.mail.live.com instead of www.hotmail.com. Same as when they changed again from mail.live.com to outlook.com all existing users were again asked to convert their account from mail.live.com to outlook.com or choose new alias on outlook.com instead of www.mail.live.com

Myself is the witness because I created at hotmail than changed to live.com and now changed to outlook.com There was a period set for every change and after that all accounts would be assumed blocked/disabled or may be removed.

I think you have the same case that you not converted your account

Reset an Outlook password to keep your program secure.
A Microsoft Outlook password keeps your email account secure from unwanted intrusion.
When you wish to reset your Outlook password, you must perform a multistep process to change your password first with your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
The password with your ISP mail server must be the same as the password you set in your Outlook program in order to send and receive emails.

Call your ISP and request a new password for your account.
Write down the password after you receive it to ensure you do not forget it.
Open your Outlook program, click the "Tools" tab and then select "Email accounts."
Select "View or change existing email accounts" and then press "Next."

Highlight the email account you wish to change (if you have more than one email account) and press "Change."
Enter the new password you just received from your ISP into the appropriate fields (entering it twice).
Place a check mark beside "remember password" if you want Outlook to remember your password each time you log in.

Click "Test Account Settings" to make sure your account works with the new password.
Press "Finish."

Microsoft Web Access won't send mail

If you are trying to send or receive an email in Microsoft Outlook and the password doesn't work, you can check a number of different things. Microsoft Outlook validates your email account with your email provider using various settings. Once it has validated your settings, it will send or receive email. It is not only useful to set up your email correctly but essential if you wish to use Microsoft Outlook.

Gather all of the email settings for your email account. These will be located on your email provider's website in an FAQ or support section. If in doubt contact your email provider to provide all of the settings. Look for any of the following terms: POP, SMTP, IMAP, SSL, SPA, server, and port number. Make a note of all of these. Determine when the problem exists. Check if the problem occurs when sending an email, receiving an email, or both. If the password error only happens with either sending or receiving, this narrows down the source of the problem. Click "Start," type "Outlook" and press "Enter" to open Microsoft Outlook. Click "File > Info > Account Settings." Select your email account and click "Change." Click the "Incoming mail server" field, if your error was when receiving email but not sending. Enter the full "incoming mail server" address as provided by your email provider. If your email is "IMAP" then change the "Account Type" to display "IMAP." Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure that the incoming server "Port" number is the same as your email provider stipulates. If your provider requires SSL, then click "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)." Click "OK." Click the "Outgoing mail server" field, if your error was when sending email. Enter the full outgoing server address. Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure the "Outgoing server" port is correctly set. If your email provider requires encryption, then select the correct type from the drop-down menu. Click "OK." Click the "password" field and make sure you have entered the correct password. If your mail provider requires "SPA," then click the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" to enable it. Click "Next" and then "Finish." Your password should now work. Hope it helps.

I have microsoft outlook 2002 and i dont know the password, can i set up a new password without knowing the old password?

You'll need to check the "Accounts" settings, most likely under "Tools" from the menu bar. This is where the EMail accounts are setup up for your Internet Service Provider. Make sure you don't have 2 or more accounts with the same server name, user name, and passwords.
This link explains why:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281791

Check with your Internet Service Provider if you forgot your email name and/or password to have them reset it. Then make sure to put the correct info into your Outlook "Accounts" to get your email.
