Question about Bosch Washing Machines

Open Question

Washing machine - not sure if foam sensor is working

I have this Bosch washing machine (Maxx 7), only had it for 2 weeks, and when I use the recommended amount of detergent for the amount of laundry I need washed, there's always foam left at the end of the wash program. I have to use half of the minimum recommended amount of detergent to make sure it rinses the clothes properly. Now, it's supposedly equipped with a sensor that normally should add extra rinse cycles, if it detects foam. I haven't seen it do this yet. One time, it did the opposite, it subtracted a rinse cycle, then went straight to tumble dry.

My question is, is the sensor not working, or is this normal, and I should just use a small amount of detergent?

Thanks in advance.

SOURCE: rinse cycle

If the machine has a soak cycle, you can use that. If it does not, you can have it fill on a cold rinse, and then stop it for a soak. Restart it on a hot wash with a cold rinse. Tumble dry low.

Our Bosch Maxx 7 skips spin cycle of the washing program. The remaining time jump from about 7 minutes to 2 minutes

Possible that the program controller unit has some errors and so it does work erratically. Check on all connections to the program controller unit, check for moisture on the unit. Also remove power for few hours and see if there is any change.click on : washing machine tips

Error code F18 for Bosch Maxx 7 Silence washing machine

F-18 means the pump is blocked.
First checkthe filter for coins or other junks. Make sure the drain hose isn't blocked, restricted or kinked. Make sure there's no obstruction in the drain standpipe or U-bend.

If this doesn't work, might as well change the drain pump assembly. http://www.espares.co.uk/parts?k=pump

Hope it helps. ;)

Thanks for using Fixya. A 4-thumbs up for answering your question is greatly appreciated.
