Question about Gaggia Syncrony Logic 74884 Espresso Machine & Coffee Maker
I have been given a Gaggia Syncrony Logic machine as it doesnt work, and had hoped to revive it.
The unit has no power at all, I cannot get any lights on. I have checked the fuse, as well as an in-line fuse inside. I have tested the micro switches on the doors and other places and all seem fine.
Can anybody suggest what might be the cause?
Re the Gaggia no power problem, the machine does have a re set button, 2 in fact the boiler unit must be removed and the two reset switches are between the sender units (brown in colour).
After disconecting the power source open the machine (top off)The three alan head screws that retain the boiler (front of the machine) unit must be removed it can be lifted clear to gain access to the bottom of the unit where the reset buttons are.
This will save hundreds of dollars in shipping and service fees.
DIY takes about 10-20 min well worth it.
Take care when doing this opperation 240 volts can kill.

I have a repair job on this exact machine, with the exact same problem . just solved it tonight after two weeks trying every thing i could think of . accidently brushed against the temp senders on the boiler coil, they seem to have a reset button well hidden between the contact wires . problem solved! apart from reversed polarity from crossed wires on the main feed to the mother board . this was evident when i powered up and when i pressed the steam button it activated the coffee grinder !. switched the wires back job complete time for a well earned cup of joe cheers gbw

I have the same problem, but is it really the boiler? The boiler is a red cylinder hanging in rubber holders to the right of the machine (as seen from the front) - right?
Or is it in the bottom of the metal casing fastened with three screws accessible from the front of the machine?

The only other thing i can think of is the main board, check to see if there is a problem on that.
