Question about Kenmore 20.6 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator
I have power because my light is working not sure what the problem is with the coldnest it is only 5 years old
Also check the defrost element in the freezer side mounted on the evaporator coil. They tend to burn out over time causing the coil to freeze up causing the same problem.

One of the most common problems with refrigerators and freezers is over time dust and lint can accumulate in the condenser coils try cleaning the coils CAREFULLY! with a vacuum. Unplug the unit before doing any cleaning . most units have a cardboard cover in the back, remove this to get at the coils . also check the fan(if there is one ) to see that it is not stuck.replace cover and plug unit back in.
check to see if fan is running and for air movement under the front door of unit. Keep in mind all models are different and these solutions are generic ones .Hope this helps.
