Yeah - sorry i wasn't very specific with my question earlier on.

the situation is: i no longer have the cable to connect to my pc. when the SD card is in the camera, can only view photos stored in the card but can't access photos from built-in memory. if i can access the photos from the built-in memory, i'll be able to do the transfer - the card MUST be in the camera while it is happening.

Press the photo review button (the rectangular one with the blue arrow) and then press mode. Arrow over to "image/sound copy," press ok, and you'll be good to go.

Usually this is not a problem and you will find a menu option to do this. But, in some cameras the solution is to download them the same way as the memory card by plugging in the camera to the computer. Remove the memory card, and then plug in the camera.

I have sold this camera before, and I honestly think I remember having no in-camera feature for doing this. Not positive though. The cable is a fairly common Pentax one called a mini-A I believe. Part# I-USB7. You should be able to get one of these from anyone who sells pentax for $20 or less if you find aftermarket...

Need help with moving pictures from internal Kodak Z740 to SD card

Hi.

You will need to use a computer, there is no option for direct transfer from internal memory to SD card.

Remove the SD card from inside the camera and connect the camera to the computer using an USB cable. With no SD card the computer will show the pictures stored in camera's internal memory. Copy the pictures in the internal memory in computer hard disk, then eventually move them onto the SD card.

Regards.

Pentax Optio M30- How do I transfer pictures from the internal memory onto an SD card??

this model not support it, To do that, you need to connect to pc and transfer it. As long you inserted the SD card, IT will use memory from SD card and not display image, video from built in memory.
if you want to delete file in built in memory, you need to remove memory card.

What do I need to attach camera to computer to upload photos from Pentax M20 Optio digital onto computer?

A card reader is your best choice.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

There should be an internal transfer from memory to SD card on most camera but not all look under the main menu for the memory card where it tells you to format card and create folders it there should be a COPY option.

Hi I need to buy a SD Memory Card. Is there anything specific I need to buy?. I will be buying a 4Gb and have seen one in Asda Many Thanks

If this is for the M20 camera, don't do it. The M20 uses SD cards. Any 4GB card you see is going to be an SDHC card. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they will not work in them. For the M20 you need to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

My Pentax Optio S5z does not store images to SD

Copy your photos to the SD card in the camera. http://www.pentaximaging.com/files/manual/OptioS5z_web.pdf p. 136
Transfer all photos to your computer from your SD card, and then put the card back into your camera. Try looking through your manual to see if there are any other settings that are required in order to save photos to the memory card.

I formatted by mistake the card attached

With the help of technology, yes. There is still a way for you to recover it. Download this software, install to your computer and then follow the instructions on how to recover your files.

By the way, until you have not recovered the files, please make sure that you will not use the card and store more photos on it. This is to help you ensure that you would still get the photos you need on the formatted card.

Here is one of the many softwares you can use for data recovery:

I cant get my pentax optio M20 unlocked

Do you have an SD card? If so you need to remove the card from the camera and look closely at the front of the card. You will see there is the little grey tab slider button on the left side. If it is pushed down into the locked position then you'll need to slide it up to unlock it. Then place the SD card back into your camera and all should be well..... Good Luck and Hope this helps you!
