I had a hard time trying to figure out why my mp3 player was reading fornat error! when it got to a certain song. I looked through my device and saw it had 5 folders and i hidden...what was this hidden thing...and where was it? I got the bright idea to open each of my files in this particular folder and I discovered that a song I had downloaded off of limewire had a hidden file on it and it directed me to a **** site when I tried to play it in windows media player. That is why the mp3 player read format error! when it would come to that song. So, try playing them in windows to see if you have any hidden **** attached to a file.

A message show me the card is not ready

Hi it may work in the device if first you use a PC and format the SD card FAT16, (Or whatever format your device may use) Then return it to the device, often it will then be "seen" and one is then able to Format it with the device, then it should work fine.
If it cannot be formatted in the PC then it is faulty, as it would be too, if after a format it was put back into the device and it wasn't "seen".

If you are asking how to format the device-

Connect the device to the pc using the USB cable and format the device by right clicking on the device and selecting "format". You may also format the device if you have the Format option in the Menu. formatting both ways would be good.

1. Ignore the message.

2. (Recommended) Copy your data from that device to some other storage device, and then format your external device. Then move all your data back on the newly formatted device.

Can't be formatted

If Rhapsody, or Windows Media Player was open and "using" the device, it cannot format. Try closing those first. If not, you can format it in Computer management. Right click on My Computer, select Manage. On the left side, select Disk Management. On the right side your device will be listed at the top. Right click on it and select format. Do NOT select "Quick Format". If the device does not show, disconnect your device, change the mode and try again. Best of Luck.
