Hi..my name is Keith...i would guess the belt is wore out..but you can check this ...but 1st of all...DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND SPARK PLUG!!!!!....and engage the blade and stick your had under the deck and hold the blade and with the other hand pull on the deck belt..and if it slips easily..then it needs to be replaced..i hope this will help..if not..write me back
