I have Nokia 7610 (2004 model).
It was working fine since recently i noticed that my display screen gets flushed out white and the fonts dissolve (fade) away.
I am able to use the phone for receiving calls and after some time this feature stops too.... the phone stops all communicating features like bluetooth etc. one after the other.
I had given the phone to a local mobile store and checked for virus check - the OS was reinstalled. But the problem persisted.
Second attempt was to change the display - but this problem reoccured by changing the display too.
I am sure this is not a software problem.
Something wrong in the hardware... but if that is the case why does the phone work fine for the first 5 mins !!! and then it makes phone display white !!!

according to my experience, the guarantee for the lifetime of the LCD display is usually only one year if your set has more than a year, most likely set your LCD display is damaged, it should be changed newly.
The only thing you can change is the screen saver for the "mini display" - Settings, Mini Display, Screen Saver, then choose "Digital Clock" - when the screen saver kicks in you'll see the time in nice large numbers.
The mini display is monochrome so you can't change the color.
the refresh rate frequency should be 60hz, and monitor resolution 1024 x 768 , should work fine but if the the problem still it might be the lcd monitor getting OLD :) ,you can make sure by connecting the monitor to a different pc and notice the font.
Dear friend: First get the lcd checked Second connector of lcd Third display driver crystal IC Fourth get the smps ic power controller checked Fifth get the line checked (lcd ic to lcd connector) and last get the omap (cpu) checked
b0ss..............Accessibility is an increasing problem on mobile phones as screens get smaller and the amount of information packed onto them increases. It's only thanks to the fact that most mobiles now operate as cameras that we have a screen at all. And with a large chunk of the population lagging behind technological changes already, then it makes sense to offer as much help as possible. Font Magnifier is a simple piece of software that could have really big benefits for many people. It's really easy to install and use, with font sizes changed by a scrolling bar and a preview of how big the altered text will be. When the phone is restarted all fonts will change to the chosen size. So those with small displays will be able to read their messages more clearly and anyone with sight difficulties will find their mobile phone much more accessible.

This might be a hardware as well as software problem. As on hardware part the chip which is interacting with the screen and the processor of the handset get heated up and so ur screen fades too white in 5 min . on the software part may be a virus issue . Kindely get ur handset scanned with a antivirus .concern with some hardware expert also.
I recently had trouble with the LCD Display coming up with a black screen. So I mailed it to Fuji with a letter explaining the problem. About 3 weeks later I got it back in the mail and it seem to be working fine until a month later. I turned it on and the LCD display show a black screen only now it has white lines. I'm so incredible mad and extremely dissapointed in Fuji. Reading online I have notice many people having trouble with Fuji Products. I WILL NEVER BUY a Fuji again!!!
