Need a schimatic for a Remington rifle model 582 22 trigger assembly is frozen

he Model 6 Rolling block was made from 1901 to 1933.
rifles manufactured after 1921 will have a date code consisting of 2 letters stamped on the left side of the barrel near the receiver.
rifles made between 1901 and 1921, ask a question about the serial number of your rifle on the... Remington Society Forum to get a date of manufacture.
Remington serial number records are not publically available to determine a date of manufacture some old gunsmiths have the info but are not publishing it publically ie the internet.

Remington has instituted a model wide recall of all Mod. 700 rifles. Instructions on their website will tell you how to return your rifle for repair.

Light lubes will freeze in cold weather. Try lubricating with a heavier lube. Any moisture onto bolt the isn't properly lubed will freeze the bolt or trigger assembly.

If you'll look up into the trigger assembly inside the trigger guard you'll see a set screw. I've got one of those old Rugers and supposedly that set screw is for adjusting trigger pull wt.

Could use more info, such as markings on the barrel and or breach. The Remington rolling block type single shot goes back to the 1860'S. The first 22 calibers around 1888. The rolling block went through 8 changes. The different types or changes are where various pins and screws are located, size and shape of hammers and triggers. The New Model Number 4, made from 1890 - 1933 came standard in 22 cal. with a 22 1/2 inch Oct. barrel. It will have a small lever on the right side of the breach. Approx 50,000 of these where made between the years noted. You could very well have a model 1, 2 or a model 7, which will be rare if in very good shape as only 1000, No. 7's where made. Tracking the serial number will be hard unless you contact Remington.

All Remingtons of this type have this problem burnt powder and oil mix to stop everything up but it is an easy fix, Remove the two push pins that hold the trigger group in and pull trigger and all out. put it in a container of kerosene and let it set over night take it out and clean it up good and put it back in. It should be good as new
