I was loading some songs on the SanDisk when it froze. Since then I can't get to the main menu. It will turn on but all I see is the SanDisk logo. It belongs to my granddaughter and I told her I would load the music and now I'm afraid I've ruined it!!! Please tell me not!!

You maybe entered to settings and went to usb mode and turned it to mcs and left it like that and you have to turn it back the other mode and i think you can open it after disconnecting it to the computer....

Sansa express won't turn on

Normal 0 Press and hold the Volume Up (+) and Select buttons at the same time for about 20 seconds
Make sure that the player is charged up.

Try to power reset the device by pressing and holding the center and volume up button at the same time, while connecting it to the PC.

If power reset fails, charge the device for at least two and a half hours. The computer should not be in sleep or hibernation state while charging.

You may need to update firmware.

My sandisk sansa wont charge or turn on after plugging in to charge

Does the computer recognize it at all? These mp3 players have a problem with the power button which you push up to turn on,,,, the switch some times become dislogged and require the consumer to either open it or replace it... you can try to reset the device by holding the power button in on position for 10-20 seconds

MP3 is dead. Is there some trick to reboot?

Press and hold the power button (menu) in your e140 for about 30+ seconds. Now try powering on your Sansa.
If it doesn't work, press and hold select (center button) alongside pressing and holding power button. Probably this should work for you.

Sansa mp3 player e200 version

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

My sansa e250 mp3 player is not turning on and charging.

i had the same problem.  the solution i used was to unscrew the back and pop the battery out and put it back in.  the only other option is to wait for the battery to die, which can take a while.  it's definitely a flaw with the sansa.  its happened twice within 6 months...  good luck
