My cf-51 keeps freezing up sometimes during startup and sometimes after it runs for a wile . it did not do this at first, I just got this last week , could it be the windows xp? or maybe the processor. I can hear the fan running . can the hard drive be the problem?

If you just got the system, I would return it to the place of purchase. There's almost no point in troubleshooting a brand new system still under 30 days of purchase.

I took out windows xp and installed windows 2000 pro and now it works fine. something came in with one of the updates and totally wrecked the computer. I always liked windows xp but my cf-51 didn't
I am now worried about installing any windows updates.

2009 Nissan versa engine starts wont keep running problem started car would drive around 5 miles quit let set a wile go again for a wile then quit agan now car srarts up but will not run

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Are you saying it will start and idle, but if you put it in gear, it stalls? I didn't quite understand your last sentence? My database doesn't have much on your particular vehicle? I did find fuel pressure spec for 1798 cc engine, 51 psi.
Fuel--spark--compression. I'd probably want to check if your losing rpm signal? I can only talk to you about the basics.

Panasonic CF-51 computer getting stuck, and making clicking noise. Have to turn off manually and restart.

Hi,

Listen carefully to the HDD bay of the CF-51, If the "Clicking" sound is coming from that area then it is possible that the hard drive is failing causing the whole laptop to freeze up.

If that is the case then you're looking at a new or replacement hard drive.

Blue Lines and freeze with lines. Startup problems

something is going wrong with your softare/ run a virus scan and if it still has problems and you are running xp or vista try doing a system restore to about a date of a week before you started having this problem. last resort is to do a full reload of the OS.

Trouble booting!

You could attempt to boot to safe mode, and run the Start> System Recovery > PC Recovery Application.

Otherwise, I'd boot to safe mode, select start, run, type: msconfig, select the startup tab, remove any unwanted startup items that may be causing the system crash.

Hope this helps.

Freezing or shutoff on boot, setup or minutes into operation

Try this:

Boot the system with your Windows XP installation disk. When the boot options window appears select R for recovery console. Once you have logged into the DOS session type: fixmbr and hit the enter or return key and select "y" for yes you want to do this. Type: fixboot and hit the return key again, hit "y" for yes.

Panasonic CF-51 Toughbook Fn keys don't work at all

The following website contains the needed drivers:

https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pc/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi

Select your model of CF-51 Toughbook, but you MUST be specific. There are about nine variations of the CF-51 so you must use the right drivers.

Download the hkeyapp, hkeyset, and hotkey files and unpack all files. Use the default unpack locations. If you download the files for a laptop version that is not your own, when you try to run any of these files the computer will tell you that the file is not for your model. If the files successfully unpack then you know you have the right files.

For hkeyset and hkeyapp you must run the set-up applications in the unpacked folders.

Go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and go to Other Devices.

The Hotkeys will appear as an "Unknown Devices" so if there is more than one, right click and choose "Update Driver".

Select "Install driver from specific location" and direct it to "C:\util2\drivers\hotkey" folder.

The computer will find the file and install the driver after which point you must restart the computer.

Hope this helps. It took me a while to figure this stuff out on my own so hope it speeds up somebody else's attempt.
