No signal from monitor

Hi i have had acer monitor for like 3 years now and today when i started it up it says no signal and go's black. i have hooked up a nother monitor not acer but still no luck. what should i do

Brand new Acer X203H 20" Monitor. Works well with laptop, but when hooking up to tower, "no signal" appears and screen goes black. Also, blue light on the monitor turns to red.

When u power up the computer pressF8 key then enter in enable vga mode.
then if u r able to enter in there then change screen resolution.
And if u r not able to enter then check cabel from computer to monitor .
Also refix ram on cpu.

My Monitor worked great for the last year or so.

Monitor Acer Al 1914, no signal

Check your connections to the PC. Make sure that they are nice and secure. If there is a resolution problem setting it should display the boot process and then go blank after starting the operating system.

My Acer P205H shows up for 1-3 seconds before showing a black screen. Connected DVI Cable but is there a need to connect vga too?

Depending upon the video port/s you have on the graphics card, you need to connector one video cable, either the DVI or the 15pin DSub to the monitor.

VX 910. Goes to black every 10 to 15 seconds then comes back on after 3 to 5 seconds With ''analog'' displayed in the lower right corner. Happens when connected to 2 different computers.

This Problem is Acer(s) Monitors. Though it is a nuisance one fix That has work for many is the Unplugging after it goes back to Good (viewable) screen.
I have hooked mine up to an inexpensive Power strip to make it easier for me and just turn off at time indicated above and Viola Simple is as Simple does :)

can you test your monitor on another computer to verify the monitor is at fault? If the monitor is at fault its time for a new one, factory warranties on monitors are usually 1 year unless you purchased an extended warranty.Otherwise repair is usually more costly than buying a new one.

Monitor works at Startup, then goes black

yes you can fix this problem go in to start menu then control panel then double click display, then screen resulution and add the secondary screen, bc windows doesn't add the screen automaticlly you have to do it this way
