Question about Mitsubishi WS-55807 TV

1 Answer

TV Changes Channels by itself

I have an old Mitsubishi has a good picture and I use it as a secondary TV. But recently it has started changing channels by itself. I've eliminated the remote as the cause. So what could it be??? Sometimes I can't even get it back to the channel I was watching...I turn the TV off, wait a bit, then turn it back on...sometimes this works. Not sure what the model is. Any help would appreciated. Thanks.. Minnowpaw

So what are "keyboard" switches?? Do you have a picture of them??

Thanks for your help...just a few more questions. First, how much would you guess this will cost (parts only), and if I disconnect the keyboard and the remote still works, why can't I just leave it unplugged and use the tv that way?? Thanks again...

The keyboard switches are going bad part# 432P109010 (there are ten of them). To verify this, disconnect the connecting wire to the keyboard pc board and see if you still have the problem- the remote will still function normal- the green power led will not light up when you power on the TV with it disconnected so listen for the click and wait for the TV to power up when you use the remote.

You know, the buttons on the front (power, channel, volume, menu, etc.)Remove the speaker grill from the front- you will then see the connecting cables to the board with the switches on it...unplug the cables...

Since the board itself is no longer available as a part, you have to solder in each switch (about $5.00 each). Yes,you can just leave it unplugged and use the TV that way with the remote. The only thing different would be the power indicator light would no longer light up so it might be confusing not knowing when the TV is on (just listen for the clicking sound when turning it on)

Mitsubishi diva cant tune in

well .... no online user manuals for thoseTVs
you will need to use a digital seck top box and use that units remote to tune the TV

if there are any (needs a user manaual)
use the buttons on the TV lower casing
to tune up

none of the all in ones remote buttons work for all TVs functions
you are lucky if it turns on and off
and changes channel

Snowy picture

Usually a snowy picture means that you have a bad ground connection. You should see that some channels are beter than others. Verify that the cable connection is good. Try a different cable if you can. If that has no effect, than we need to start looking at the tuner itself. If you can change channels but just have a poor picture, chances are that a resolder of the tuner section will resolve the problem.

Keep us posted.

2 new problems with my TV after my move

Well it may just be the signal in your area that isn't quite as good. That's just fact. Also, because the signal may be weaker, it may take longer for the TV to fine tune to get the best picture quality, which would explain the slight blurring after turning your TV on.
